Emeril at Atlanta
Emeril Lagasse是美國非常有人氣的一位大廚,是有線電視台Food Network的老闆之一,寫過不少食譜,也開了幾間餐廳,有一間就在亞特蘭大。這次趁開會之便,去那裡朝聖,果真名不虛傳
酒庫設計成餐廳的一部分,真是巧思。

Jo的巧克力蛋糕食譜^^
Chocolate Cake
1 2/3 cups flour
1 1/2 cups white granulated sugar
1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 cup soft shortening (Crisco)
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 eggs
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour two layer pans, 8 or 9 inches or an oblong pan,
l3 x 9 x 2. Blend in large bowl flour, sugar, baking soda, salt and cocoa. Add shortening,
millk and vanilla. Mix well and scrape sides of bowl often. Add eggs. Blend well. Pour
cake batter in prepared pan or pans. Bake 8 inch layers about 38 minutes; 9 inch layers
about 30 minutes; oblong pan about 45 minutes. Cool completely before frosting.
Chocolate Butter Icing
l/3 cup soft butter (not margarine)
3 cups sifted powdered sugar
3 Tablespoons milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
3 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
Blend butter and powdered sugar together. Stir in milk, vanilla and melted chocolate.
Mix until smooth. Makes icing for two 8 or 9 inch layers or one oblong cake.
